Apply to become a Tenant

1. Applicants must have a regular combined household income of between R1,500 and R15,000 per month;
2. Applicants must reside in the Northern Cape Province and have South African citizenship or permanent residency;
3. Applicants for accommodation must be 18 years or older and legally competent to contract;
4. Married or single with or without dependants;
5. Must not have owned State subsidised and private property before;
6. In addition to points 1 – 5 above, the following key qualifying criteria will apply when assessing your application:
   • Willing and able to pay rental;
   • Willing and able to abide by the tenancy agreement;
   • Ability to pay the required deposit;
   • Willing to be subjected to vetting on credit checks, employment and bank account verification.

Documentation Required with Application

1. Completed Application Form Document attached;
2. Three (3) months stamped bank statements;
3. Proof of bank account;
4. Proof of Income;
5. Proof of current residency;
6. Proof of employment – if applicable;
7. Certified copy of identity document / passport or valid permanent residency papers;
8. Certified copy of marriage certificate / certified copy of divorce decree / customary marriage certificate as applicable;
9. Certified copy or copies of ID or birth certificates of all dependants.
